Pouring regular coffee over ice can leave it tasting watery, and chilling coffee in the fridge takes time and can cause it to oxidize, affecting the flavor. However, with the iced coffee machine, simply fill your cup with ice and press the "OVER ICE" button to get a cup of fresh iced coffee. When the "OVER ICE" button is pressed, the machine brews extra strong hot coffee that has the right concentration once the ice melts, thanks to the deep coffee extraction technology. To ensure the right coffee temperature and strength, please follow the recommended ratio of ice, water and grounds marked on the top cover of the machine.

For non-watery iced coffee, use a bit finer ground beans than for regular drip coffee, an insulated mug, and darker roasted beans with bolder flavors like chocolate, black tea, caramel or nuts. You can also replace regular ice cubes with coffee ice cubes.

This single serve coffee maker comes with a BPA-free reusable ground filter basket and pod holder. For best flavor when using k-pods, add only 6oz of water, but up to 14oz water is allowed when using the maximum amount of ground coffee.

Recommended ratios are: 6oz water, 6oz ice, 0.35g ground coffee (or a k-pod); 8oz water, 8oz ice, 0.49g ground coffee; 10oz water, 10oz ice, 0.63g ground coffee; 12oz water, 12oz ice, 0.78g ground coffee; 14oz water, 14oz ice, 0.88g ground coffee (max).

Medium coarse ground coffee is recommended, but finer ground can also be used for a bolder flavor, as long as it's not too fine, like espresso. Using this iced coffee maker is more convenient and brews the coffee directly in the cup for fresher, more flavorful results compared to pouring regular coffee over ice. The machine also has a large filter basket, so you can brew tea leaves as well.
